Halloween Miracles!

Oh my goodness this was the best week ever! Ok......not the BEST week......that was definitely my Birthday week....but this was a REALLY good week! We saw so many miracles!

We had so many people come on chat who were super elect and want to meet with missionaries! We also were able to follow up with lots of our investigators and found out many of them were progressing investigators!!!! SO AWESOME!!!

And then of course Halloween was SUPER fun! I got so much candy! I went trunk or treating at the La'ie 8th ward with Sister Takatsu who had never gone trick or treating before so all of the members took pity on us and gave us lots of candy! And then on Halloween we had dinner with the Moultries' and it was so great celebrating with their Halloween traditions. And then we had a zone party! Which was super fun because I went around with my tiny plastic bag and trick or treated everyone and all the missionaries in my zone would grab whatever candy was nearest them and throw it in my bag! SCORE! Such a great holiday ^_^

Anyhoo, so our miracles. One of the funniest ones was a guy who came on and we asked him if he had a religious background and he said no. So we said, "how do you think having a religion might impact your life?" He replied, "well, I'd probably have to start going to church...." Then we said, "How do you think it will impact your relationships?" (thinking he'd say something about them being stronger) and he said, "Well, I'd probably have a lot more Mormon friends." hahahahaha

By the end of the chat we had invited him to go to church at the YSA ward nearest him and that he could meet a lot of people there (aka make Mormon friends) and he was super excited about it! hahahaha so I guess both of his predictions happened and we didn't even realize it til we ended the chat! hahaha

ALSO, lately we've been planning/predicting our chats and preparing for specific people and their questions. And the other day we planned for a person asking about our youth programs and boy scouts. (Kinda pictured a mom in my head) But then we ended up getting a girl who asked about why we go to church day and night and so I told her about the youth programs and boy scouts and she says, "you have BOY SCOUTS?! That's so cool!" BAM! So cool! Then we kinda found out she was only 15 so we weren't suppose to be chatting with her (since she's under 16) but before we found out we had recommended her to talk to her Mormon friends about coming with them to these activities and she was excited because she didn't know if she could come! So when she found out she could she was like, "I'll definitely ask them!"

How cool is that!? So, now, your challenge, if you choose to accept it...(all those who read this) is to invite a friend to all these activities the church has! We have SOOO many! Pick one! You never know unless you try! And you DEFINITELY never know if there's someone out there, chatting with missionaries about the Book of Mormon, the gospel and all these things but are too scared to bring it up with you at school! So be the first to make a move! Their salvation is at stake! Show them you love them by sharing what's most important to you! Your knowledge of the Gospel!

Lately I've been calling bishops to follow up with some of my investigators and I'm SO grateful to be hearing about their missionary-minded ideas to get the members active in finding investigators to teach! It's so inspiring! Their optimism and faith is making ME more optimistic and increasing MY faith! So do the same! Have faith! If you have any questions. Go to mormon.org and ask the missionaries how to teach your friends about the gospel! They'd LOVE to help and give you ideas! LOVE YOU!

Work hard! Pray always! Love you all!
