This week Sister Moyes and I exercised our faith to an experiment upon His worlds. Or rather, experimented on words of experiences other sisters had, and during companion study, planned tours for specific people that were to come into the Visitors' Center, whether they were from the Polynesian Culture Center or just walk-ins at the Visitors' Center.
We just picked something and someone that popped in our heads and just had the faith that if we were prepared for them, Heavenly Father would send them to us.
They came.
On Friday we planned for a with-member lesson that involved showing them the presentation, God's Plan for His families and then committing the nonmember to baptism. And a less active person that we would show the testimony of Thomas S. Monson.
Both came.
The with-member was a grandma and grandson and the grandson's girlfriend wasn't a member! We showed her the temple corner and explained HOW families can be together forever and she loved it! We then took her into God's Plan and talked to her about how doing the things Heavenly Father commands us to do ONLY brings happiness, and how we're so blessed when we follow His example. We then invited her to be baptized. She accepted, and they got the missionaries phone number to schedule an appointment.......CHEEEEEEHOOOOOO!
The Less-active was a recently returned missionary who had come to the temple with his YSA group but didn't have a current temple recommend so he couldn't go in. He had been struggling and we shows him the clip from President Monson's conference talk and invited him to attend his proper ward and to find his purpose, figure out the calling that God wanted him to do now that he wasn't on a mission and to prepare himself to BE the kind of person he'd want to marry.
It was SO cool!
Monday we did it again. I pictured in my head this hindu girl with piercings and bangles and necklaces and a big guy with a pop belly and a part member family where we'd have to explain the whole reason the daughter or wife or whatever was a member and why they parents or husband should learn more even though they really weren't interested.
BOTH CAME!
The Hindu girl with piercings and bangles and necklaces and came with her cousin (also loaded with jewelery) and her tour guide (big guy with pop belly) and we showed them the temple corner and explained the importance of families. They agreed and then promptly filled out guest cards to have missionaries come by and teach them more.
The part-member turned out to be Honeymooners. She was a member, but he wasn't and she was trying to teach him more and the missionaries had been coming over, but he was very obviously not interested. We tried desperately to testify and teach but it was obvious that he needs a lot of time to adjust and learn.
But either way, ALL CAME!!!
It was SO cool! And it was cool because it was purely by exercising faith. We didn't know who was going to come. We didn't have visions or have dreams about what to teach to wahtever, but we prepared for SOMEONE. And that action alone, allowed Heavenly Father to trust us with His precious children who are hungry for the gospel. I feel so privileged to be a part of something so great and so rewarding.
I invite all of you to do the same. So pray and prepare to share the gospel with SOMEONE. ANYONE. And see what happens. But do so in faith and I promise you heavenly Father will lead you to missionary opportunities you wouldn't have dreamed you'd get to be a part of. THIS is His work and His glory. I testify in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

P.S. Work hard! Pray always! Love you all!
