How to survive - Stop it

So the theme of member fails continues on.....we've had SO many encounters with rude, judgmental and just mean members. Which is SO sad! ESPECIALLY since I JUST gave a huge speech to a less active member saying that the ward is amazing and that the people are so kind and serving and then.......that happens......I won't go into detail about all the encounters but I just want to repeat a famous quote from Elder Uchtdorf.........

Stop it.

That's it! Just....stop it! I just learned of the "rust theory" of the locals in Hawaii. It is what it says. They don't really care what car you have or what house you have because in the end, everything rusts anyway.....it's so hot here everyone sweats and ruins their clothes anyway. Material things are just NOT of value. They don't care! And that's how we should be.

Everyone needs to stop focusing on the wrong in the world and focus on how they can make their corner better. Service is the definition of Religion and we need to be just that, serving others.

I KNOW that this is Christ's church on the Earth and I know He wants nothing more than for us to gain the Christlike attribute of Charity. We can do it. As many member fails in the world that I've seen and heard I know there's hundreds of member wins to make up for it. So if we want to survive this world, these situations, these rough times, then we need to serve, and we need to LOVE, unconditionally!

that's all I have time for today, but I hope everyone will show their love for someone that is hard to love this week. If we don't learn to love the rough, we won't grow, and we won't learn. Stretch yourself! Try! Tell that coworker who's anti-mormon you love them. Tell the relative you haven't talked to in YEARS you want to serve them. And then after you tell them...show them. I hope you have an awesome week! Work hard! Pray always!

love,
Sister Bradley
