BAPTISMS!!!!!!!!!!!

Fact: I love baptisms. This one especially. Why? Because it took every ounce of energy, concentration, patience, and love to get these 2 boys baptized! So, Josh is 10 and Xavier is 8 and with an entire family that's less active, needless to say it was tough just trying to get in the door. Members and missionaries have been trying to get in the door for MONTHS and have been trying to get those boys baptized since Josh was 8! It's been a CRAZY ride, BUT, in the end, a member baptized and confirmed them, the WHOLE family was there (which was a huge surprise) and they had a great time! YAY!!!!!!!!! And it felt pretty cool having the grandma (the only active member) say, "good job sisters, you did it!"

Now, as for transfers.......I still don't know.........kinda.........well, my companion is getting a trainee (a baby) sooooo I guess that means I'm being kicked out of the nest back to La'ie. Am I sad? Yes. Do I not want to go back? Yes. Why? Because I feel like I'm missing out on all the fun! There's so many people to teach out full pros. And they're opening up areas for sisters on different islands! I'm so jealous! I want to be a part of all the crazy fun happening because of the choke missionaries coming on Wednesday! *sigh But I guess it just wasn't meant to be, I guess Heavenly Father wants me to learn quite a bit of humility.

ANYHOO, so this week has been crazy because of the baptism and trying to get everything settled on that and keeping all family members happy, but we were able to have some pretty cool experiences!

One of them was getting to teach an investigator named Frank. Apparently a YEAR ago, Elders found him tracting and taught him about the Plan of Salvation, conveniently only a few WEEKS after his mom (who he's really close to) passed away. But then they weren't able to catch him and teach him again. Then comes along Sis. Marshall and I who were just flipping through former investigators in our area book and decided to visit him. Turns out just the DAY before, he had walked down the street from his work to go take a peak at the new Maui Lani Stake Center that was just dedicated a month ago, even though he didn't know what church it was for. BAM! Inspiration! Now he's totally on the ball and is doing awesome and is reading the Book of Mormon and wants to be baptized! BAM!!!!! He's so bomb! Now, I'm just gonna have to really keep in touch with Sis. Marshall to find out what happens to all these people we're teaching who want to be baptized!

Fact: You would not BELIEVE how many spanish investigators we have right now.....6 FAMILIES........SIX!!!!! And I'm in HAWAII!!!! Fact: I don't speak Spanish........luckily, we have many former spanish-speaking elders in our ward, along with a recent convert who's straight out of Mexico (Oaxaca and Mexico City to be exact) and due to his VERY missionary mindedness, he's been helping us not only teach them but find more to teach! I love missionary minded members :)

Fact; Hitchhikers are EVERYWHERE here! Personally, I wouldn't be too comfortable picking up random strangers off the highway and South Kihei Rd, but apparently other people do because it's different people each time so I guess they must've gotten picked up at some point *shrug

Fact: For District Meeting last week Elder Wilson and I built a 2 story fort......it was bomb :)

Anyhoo, I love you all! And most likely On Wednesday I'll be flying back to La'ie. Work hard! Pray always!

Love,
Sister Bradley
