Fun Fact: I've officially been on my mission for 6 months now........weird..........
Also, I officially ate horse yesterday...it's a Tongan thing........it was ok......a lot of it was really gamey and chewy like fat though so I'm not a huge fan, but when you got real meat portions it just tasted like shredded beef *shrug. They cook it with Mayonnaise, onions and coconut milk...........it was ok *shrug
Also,
This week was really cool, we went on exchanges on Tuesday and I was with Sis. Christensen again and we were able to have some pretty cool epiphanies! 1.) sometimes when Heavenly Father gives you a choice to do different things, it's because it doesn't matter because no matter what you're gonna end up in the place where he wants you to be, you'll become the person he wants you to be. And at 1st you'd think, no but different choices makes different experiences and different outcomes and stuff like that, but no really, it doesn't matter, because you're gonna be what/where the Lord wants you to be in the end, sorta like deciding which way to go around an island in a parking lot, you can literally go left or right and there's literally no difference, both are the same distance, both have the same obstacles, one is the left around the island and one is just right around the island......2.) It is easier to listen to the spirit when you're calm and 3.) There's a difference between immaturity and being silly, now to just master the art of maturity AND silliness..........
Wednesday Sis. Marshall went to Oahu for a leader conference so I got a mini for the whole day! Her name was Sis. Weber (Paradise), she's 19, and just the sweetest girl ever! She's so nice and cute and she wants to serve a mission so bad! We did AWESOME and were able to teach 8 lessons! We were bouncing around all over Kihei! It was AWESOME! She was great! However.......I have now glimpsed into the future of 19 yr old sisters........."OMG! I LOVE the Book of Mormon! I read that thing like it was the Hunger Games! I just couldn't put it down!".........oh geez........and now I officially have the Hottie Rating on all the elders.........this is going to be interesting.........I don't speak acronym.......BUT at least they'll be super fired up for the work! It will be good :)
So this Sunday pretty much the whole topic was D&C 18:15-16 which says that if you were to labor all your days crying repentance unto His people and bring save 1 soul unto Him then how great will be your joy with him the the kingdom of our Father. And I think something I need to take a step back and realize that my success as a missionary is not based on my numbers. It is based on whether or not my children and my children's children serve missions. Because if I can be that one soul that was saved and teach my children well enough that they teach THEIR children well enough that they serve missions, THEN I can be considered a successful missionary......so........goal: convert myself and mature :)
Well I love you all and I hope everyone's staying warm and healthy! Work hard! Pray always!
love,
Sister Bradley
