I can't believe it's almost February, I feel like this has been the shortest transfer even though technically....it's been the longest since this transfer is 7 weeks.
Sis. Marshall and I are tearing up Kihei and finding people to teach like crazy! Now if we can just get them dunked! We seriously have so many investigators it's ridiculous, but they're all sorta stuck, in one way or another. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE ADVERSARY!!!!! We're teaching over 5 families with unbaptized kids, and the parents are seriously driving us crazy because it's the parents that are holding back these kids from being baptized. PARENTS NEED TO SET A GOOD EXAMPLE!!!! Y'all need to stay WORTHY and go to church, pray, and read your scriptures, and NOT let bad past experiences keep your children from inheriting the kingdom of God! Seriously, what is wrong with people these days!.......ok......I'll stop ranting......
ANYHOO, so on Friday I called up a referral from the Kahului Ward, Alysia, and it was AWESOME because she said that she's going through such a hard time she thought aobut calling some sort of hotline just to talk to someone and then BAM, I called! And then went and saw her on Saturday and talked for 2 HOURS!! She's going through an INCREDIBLY hard time with her daughter having died 3 months ago, her alcoholic ex-husband coming around and bringing his maniac girlfriend around who keeps keying Alysia's car, and it's just bad. And so we invited her to really read the Book of Mormon and we gave her a plan of Salvation pamphlet and asked her to pray about it. She's seriously SO in-tune with the spirit it's insane! I REALLY hope she gets baptized ASAP! This gospel will help her SOOOO much!
THEN, on Sunday, 1.) we had the BEST talk I've EVER heard about prayer, from Sis. Ngalu (ward mission leader's wife) and it was incredible! The spirit was so strong! I LOVED it! She talked about everything from what prayer is, to what prayer does, why we need it, how to do it, how the savior is involved in it. It was just amazing! But the sad part is, the ONE person who we really needed to hear it, WASN'T THERE!!!! -_- lame. But alls well because THEN this guy (no idea where he came from) came up to us and told us he brought his friend to church and she's SUPER fascinated with this church and just everything and wanted to know if we could talk to her and take her to Relief Society....."could we talk to her and take her to Relief Society?" uuuuuuhhh HECK YEAH WE CAN!!!! AND it turns out she's TOTALLY amazing! She was completely enthralled with the lesson in RS about baptism and the holy ghost, and when we talked to her afterward about the Book of Mormon and prophets and stuff she was like, "oh well, yeah, we'd need another prophet, and of course there'd be a record of the Americas! Oh that's so fascinating! I promise I'll read the whole book!".........O.o..............holy poop she's God-sent........
