Ok, so I wasn't done but it randomly sent on me......anyhoo.....
SO, suzzy (the name of the lady) is completely amazing and we can't WAIT to teach her again. The only problem (like all other investigators) she's SUPER busy, and we'll be lucky if we can see her once a week "/ but hopefully we can see her again soon! I want her to get baptized sooo bad! She seriously looks like she could be the next RS general president. Just her voice, and mannerisms and her focus! She's incredible!
However, I have no idea what's going to happen to me this next transfer, we have only 10 sisters coming, but 20 elders, and I could go back to the VC, I could go white wash another area, I could train, I could stay, I could do who-knows-what, but President wasn't really giving out any hints at Zone Conference. Which, was awesome by the way! We had it at theis SUPER old chapel in Pukalani called the Pulehu Chapel and it's one of the first on Maui! They even have a memorium for Jonathan H. Napella who translated the Book of Mormon into Hawaiian! It was BEAUTIFUL! I LOVED it!
Let's see....what else did we do...........OH! Oh my goodness! SO, guess what? Out of all the nationalities on Muai, guess what we're teaching the most? MEXICANS!!!! And I can't speak a lick of Spanish!!!! -_- I'm pretty sure Heavenly Father is laughing at all of this -_- Luckily we have some RMs in our ward who speak Spanish and so they've been able to come to our lessons to translate. These 2 guys in particular are so different and yet so alike and are SO prepared! One JUST decided he didn't want to drink anymore, he deicded a few months ago to give up coffee because he knows it's not healthy, AND he's never smoked, done drugs or drank tea. AND he wants to start going to a church, but he wants to find the right one and he's never been baptized before but wants to be and everything's going right in his life so he wants to show his thanks to God....SOLID! But then this other guy is just as good at keeping the word of wisdom but EVERYTHING is going wrong in his life. Because of some crazy guy who crashed into his truck, he's trying to deport him back to Mexico, his girl friend for the past 16 years is cheating on him, his oldest son (they have 4 kids together, which, it turns out may not be his at all) totally knows what's going on and is basically being the man of the house and telling his parents they need to stay together and be a family. Man, it's insane. But he's SO prepared! THIS GOSPEL CAN FIX ALL PROBLEMS!!!!! How? Because when you keep Heavenly Father's commandments you can't help but be happy...ALL THE TIME...despite trials. Plus it allows for you to trust in the Lord and when you do that, nothing seems like a trial because you know that in the end everything will work out for the best, because that's all Heavenly Father wants for us anyway, for us to be happy and to have eternal life and exaltation with our families and in his presence!
Anyhoo, I love you guys so much! And I hope everyone at the MTC loads up on vitamin C! Don't get held back because of the flu! Also, stay warm and work hard and pray always! LOVE Y'ALL!!!!!!!!!
love,
Sister Bradley
P.S. here's a ton more pictures of Hana and then of our zone at Zone Conference. And 3 Nephi 15:9-10 is bomb :)
