HEY Y'ALL!!!
Oh my goodness can I just say that the little ticker thing in the corner of my screen telling me I only have 15 minutes to type all that I want to say is VERY nerve wrecking????!!!! Well...it is....ANYHOO, SO MUCh has happened. First, for the first time since I've been here I actually was able to sleep through the night which was such a blessing and I'm not nearly as tired as I was before which makes a HUGE difference when trying to learn all the things we have to learn! :) Second, yes, you read that right, builidng 8M caught on fire....while we were inside.....so...story time:
We were have a Relief Society Branch meeting which was fine and dandy until the fire alarm went off. Thinking it was just a drill, our Branch President says, "eh....we'll stay in here..and if we see fire...we'll run *shrug" so we just stay inside for like 20 minutes while everyone is evacuating and the alarm is STILL going off! Then after about 20 minutes the fire alarm turns off just in time for us to finish out meeting. So we open the door to leave and holy cow did the hallway smell like smoke and there were 3 firemen in the hallway and they were like, "are you evacuating??" and we were just like, "we are now!!' hahahah there were like 5 fire engines outside! Apparently the transformer blew and it started a fire.....whoops....well, no harm done! We're all alive! :D hahahaha so anyhoo...
Life is going great here, me and Sister Johnston are doing really well at teaching together and working to make sure the investigators are feeling and recognizing the spirit and we're learning a TON about teaching with the spirit! And oh my goodness I'm having a blast discovering the PERFECT scripture for each investigator and I LOVE tabbing my new scriptures and creating all these study-helps for my scripture studying! Yes..I'm a nerd, oh well....AND the other day I was feeling a tiny bit down and the Zone director pulled me aside and was just talking to me to get to know me more and he said, "oh, and your teachers (Bro. Grabau and Bro. Sebeste) are constantly bragging about you and how well you connect with the investigators and help them understand the doctrine and everything else" And holy cow did that make my night!
Oh! And side note to Billy and Park....I need your addresses, all I have are the LDAC ones are y'all are both graduates soooo yeah, CTLT or Florida addresses would be helpful! Thanks! Anyhoo, I just LOVE my roommates here, they are just the sweetest! Besides my companion we have 4 roommates all going to Milan Italy and they are always just cheerful and happy and saying "Chiao!" all the time! I love them! Well the clock says I gots 1 minute so I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!! Thanks for all the letters! Work hard! Pray always!
