So anyhoo, this week was awesome! Sis. Munoa and I saw so many miracles! Including the fact that our ward is SUPER missionary-minded and they actually have been given us referrals! YAY! Amazing! SO many, in fact, that we've been so overwhelmed with all the work we have to do! It's crazy! But I'm trying to set a good example and practice what I preach so I'm referring my friends too, so all y'all non-mormon friends of mine out there that are reading this, don't be surprised if you get a Book of Mormon mailed to you or delivered by 2 people is shiny black name tags (hint: It's not the Jehovah's Witness)
Anyhoo, SO Sis. Munoa and I had an epiphany. We've figured out why missionaries are so weird when they return home from their missions. It's because we've been doing the most awkward things for MONTHS, that now, nothing seems awkward to us anymore, we're immune to awkward moments! Whereas the rest of the world is still treading water as turtles and can't handle that much awkwardness! So there you go. It's not that we're awkward, it's that we're immune to FEELING awkward, and everyone else is very sensitive! Yup, that's it! I'm actually really excited to go home and re-read all of the awkward things I did EACH day as a missionary. THIS week, I THOUGHT I called a bishop about a referral I was sending him, when in reality I called the referral........So now they have a nice weird message on their machine talking about how some random missionary in Hawaii is about to give their personal contact information to a random stranger so that he can send 2 MORE random missionaries to their house and call them and e-mail them........yup.............
Besides that, this week has been great because we had the director over all the Visitors' Centers all over the world and more to come, visit us and train us on how to be better Visitors' Center missionaries. It was so cool! AND I was finally able to tell someone with some influence about my opinions on re-designing the guest-cards! SO, if all of you randomly receive a guest card for the La'ie Hawaii Temple Visitors' Center in the next 8 months, it's because I helped design them ;)
AND fun fact about the gospel I just learned? The reason we have the Sabbath Day on Sunday, rather than the "seventh day" (Saturday) is because originally, in the old testament it WAS on Saturday (hence Israel celebrating it then) because it was in honor of the Creation and Jesus Christ taking rest on the 7th day. But when Jesus Christ fulfilled the Atonement, he replaced the Mosaic Law with the NEW law, and therefore the Sabbath Day was changed to the 1st day of the week in honor of the Resurrection and when he arose on the 3rd day (which was a Sunday). TAH-DAH!!! Cool huh!? You learn something new everyday! :D Well I hope everyone is doing awesome! I love you all!
