Fwd: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To start off this wonderful e-mail I would just like to say:

Fact: I can't believe I'm not missing an arm or a leg right now, let alone alive. Why? Because while tracting down one of the creepiest streets yet, we knocked on this guy's door (which had no screen) and we heard INSANE barking coming from inside. So when the guy opened the door he was trying to hold back this huge pit bull  Naturally, the pit bull who's head came up to my hips was too strong for the skinny, old, tattooed, smoker and he broke free. So the dog CHARGED at us, causing the guy to start cussing because HE was fearing for our lives! Naturally, we froze, because what are we gonna do? Run? HA! Yeah right! So anyhoo, the thing ran RIGHT up to us and then just halted right in front of me (it's why I know his head comes up to my hips). And he stopped growling and barking and he just stood, his nose being about an inch from my stomach. (I've decided an angel with a flaming sword caused the dog to stop) Then the owner decides to be brave and come get his dog by grabbing him by the tail, causing him to growl and bark and try to bite all over again, coming inches away from Sis. Marshall. But the guy got the dog back in the house and then quickly shut the door right behind him. (Not before we asked him if there was anyone we could visit and say a pray with though ;) BAM!) SO, TAH-DAH! I'm ALIVE!!!! And I'm not gonna lie, having your life flash before your eyes is a very uncomfortable experience...just saying :P

So anyhoooooo Christmas was good! We laid around and did nothing and it was AWESOME!!! And we plan on doing it ALL over again! I also would just like to say I'm pretty sure I received enough stickers to last me the rest of my mission! hahahahaha NAW! JK, they'll probably last me just another transfer ;) hahahahaha naw but the stickers are so cool! And I'm not gonna lie, it's pretty sweet getting stickers from ALL over the world :D :D :D

As for Kanoe, she decided to move her baptismal date back a couple weeks but all is well and she's doing awesome! She's learning so much and she loves the gospel! It's gonna be SO epic when she gets baptized and then 3 months later gets sealed with her family! :D :D :D

We totally had a miracle this week and that is that we FINALLY got a hold of this less-active family! Missionaries have been trying to get a hold of them for FOREVER, but WE finally did! We had an object lesson with them about the Holy Ghost involving fire (which of course the 4 boys loved). And it was so great because they were the most well-behaved children I've EVER met, AND the 12 yr old made life VERY easy for us by telling his unbaptized siblings that "the Holy Ghost is better when you get baptized because then you get it ALL the time, and it's so cool cuz after you get BAPTIZED he's able to protect you and comfort you and everything because he's there's 24/7 because when you're BAPTIZED you're clean and perfect and so the Holy Ghost can be with you when you're clean." Yeah, needless to say he taught the lesson for us and it was awesome. And by the end we asked them if we could come back next week and ALL the kids turned their heads to their mom and whispered "YES!" hahahahaha and lucky for us the mom took the hint and said we could come back on Tuesday! BAM! Hopefully everything keeps going great and we're able to start getting this whole family going to church. They have so much potential! Including being sealed as a family once their little girl is born :) (That makes 6 kids, the mom's 6 months pregnant, she works 6 days a week and 60 hours a week......talk about super mom! And talk about a lot of 6's!)

Let's see, what else...OH! Can I just say I want to be EXACTLY like my ward mission leader's wife? Sis. Ngalu has ELEVEN children and they are the most well-behaved, organized, obedient, and smartest kids I've EVER met! Their son, Joseph, who's NINE by the way, and comes up to my waist, irons...ALL of his church clothes....their 7 yr old can work the copy machine to copy our progress records (which are 2 sided and the machine doesn't do it automatically). Joseph picks up kioko, (she's 1) like a legit mother, not all awkward and weird like she's the heaviest sack of potatoes he's ever carried, but he carries her like an adult and puts her head on his shoulders and everything! The 7 yr old can do it to! Their 2 1/2 yr old Talita speaks FULL sentences and pronounces EVERY consonant. And every single one of them is always either doing homework or chores, and they ALL do it exactly when the mom asks them to. It's INCREDIBLE!!!! She tells the 12 yr old to go change her little sister's diaper or tells the 16 yr old to go take his little sister to the bathroom and they ALL do it! It's insane! I don't know how she does it, but I want to do it! hahaha and she's SO chill too! I LOVE Sis. Ngalu! She's just like "whatever" all the time and she's so calm and just, chillin all the time, she's so cool! It's not like she threatens to beat her kids every other second and that's why their so obedient, they just, do what their told. And they get along so well! On Christmas I had NO idea who got what for Christmas because everyone was just playing with everyone's toys and just taking turns like it was no big deal! Yeah....that wouldn't have flied by in MY house....not even for a SECOND! So fact: These children are teaching me how to be an adult.......sad, I know.....

Well I hope everyone has a BOMB new year! We'll be spending it hanging out with the zone hiding from all the crazy polys with fireworks (apparently the reason why we have to be with our zone today and tomorrow is because the fireworks the go on around these neighborhoods are crazy dangerous). LOVE Y'ALL!! Work hard! Pray always!

love,
Sis. Bradley

P.S. That picture with us in front of the cars. Yeah, THAT describes the personalites of those I'm serving with, but the COOL thing to look at is the fact that we were able to line up our cars EXACTLY so they're kissing (thier license plates are touching) hahaha it was funny....
