Granted, there are some things I'm freaking out about, one of which includes me taking over the area and driving because I'm killing Sis. Tauti, she leaves to go home in 5 weeks. Also, sidenote: this transfer is only 5 weeks because the prophet moved like everyone's transfers so that everyone goes home BEFORE Christmas, not 1 day after. So now I have less than 5 weeks to get used to driving in Maui which is terrifying since it's HUGE, and I am TERRIFIED of driving.............terrified...............for those of you who are missing something. I grew up in Japan...........ergo, I learned how to drive on the left hand side of the road, right side of the car, and average speed was 40 kph which is like 25-30 miles an hour.......yeah, and there's no highways so the whole 70-80 miles an hour thing where people aren't watching where they're going and almost run you over.....yeah....so I'm terrified......BUT apparently everything will be "fine" and "no need" to worry.....yeah...obviously I need to work on my faith.....
But anyhoo, things have been going well, we've been teaching a lot of people and tracting has been going 1/2 well. So when we initially knock and ask to say a prayer with them, they're like, "uuuuuh...ok?" But then after the prayer they're all happy and excited to keep talking to us, and so we make a return appt, but then when we go back, they're never home! Lame -_-.........Oh well, we'll keep trying, luckily the ward here is very missionary-minded so hopefully we'll be able to keep getting referrals from the ward and meet with them :)
So needless to say it's VERY different being in a zone of mostly elders instead of sisters but I love it! They're so bomb! So today for p-day we went to this mountain called Haleakala (sp?) and watched the sunrise, it was so cool because the mountain is high enough to be above the clouds so you're watching the sun rise above the clouds and it's just so cool! And then we went o Krispy Kreme afterward and had some awesome warm donuts! So that's what these pictures will be. But it's been really cool here talking/teaching with so many different people and we had 5 investigators come to sacrament this Sunday and it was awesome! Watching people who don't know much about the church nod and agree and look at the different people talking in class intently is a VERY good thing :) Well I love you all and I hope you all have an awesome Thanksgiving! Work hard! Pray always!
love,
Sister Bradley
P.S. My address is still the same, it will remain the same for the rest of my mission because the mission office will just forward my mail to me wherever I'm at :) so no worries, the mail will get to me, and there won't be a grand delay or anything, mail will still take aobut 8 days to get to me :)
